Archives as media of memory and imagination often involve identity-forming processes and are distribution nodes between times and places.
Sounds of Solidarity is an artistic research project supported by the Academy of Arts Berlin through the Initial 2 Scholarship that looks at the potential of sound as a tool for solidarity, based around the archiving of multi-layered and multi-perspective artistic responses to global conflicts. It asks questions around the role of the artist in social movements and political struggles, and searches for answers to how art can have a real impact in a world in crisis.
