Water is in crisis; simultaneously scarce, through drought, and threateningly over-abundant, through floods and rising sea levels.

The ongoing two-year artistic research project Waterways sonically explores the complexities of waterways and bodies of water. In collaboration with MADEYOULOOK, Sakiya and Zeren Oruc, this project brings together a range of artistic and collective practices focusing on climate justice and ecology.

Through this gathering of voices, knowledges, and experiences, the project aims to challenge mainstream environmentalist narratives and to facilitate new resonances between otherwise seemingly disconnected localities.
